Measuring Tips
Gather Your Tools: Use a soft measuring tape. If you don’t have one, a piece of string and a ruler will work as alternatives.
Measure Your Band Size:
- Step 1: Stand in front of a mirror. Wearing a well-fitting, non-padded bra, wrap the measuring tape around your rib cage, directly under your bust. Ensure the tape is parallel to the floor and snug but not tight.
- Step 2: Take the measurement and round it to the nearest whole number. If it’s an even number, add 4 inches to determine your band size. If it’s an odd number, add 5 inches. For example, if your measurement is 31 inches, your band size will be 36 inches.
- Wilde Tip: For measurements over 42 inches, round up to the nearest even number for your band size.
Measure Your Bust Size:
- Step 1: While wearing the same bra, wrap the measuring tape around the fullest part of your bust, usually across the nipple, keeping it parallel to the floor. Make sure the tape is snug but not tight.
- Step 2: Take this measurement. To determine your cup size, subtract your band measurement from this bust measurement. The difference between the two numbers will determine your letter size starting with A as 1:
- 1 inch difference: A cup
- 2 inches difference: B cup
- 3 inches difference: C cup, and so on.
- Example: If your band measurement is 31 inches and your bust measurement is 33 inches, your cup size is B, making your recommended size 34B.
Bra Cup Size Conversion:
- DD = E
- DDD = F
